INSCYD Remote Testing

Advanced metabolic testing you can do anywhere with your own equipment

INSCYD (pronounced "INSIDE") is a cutting-edge physiological testing protocol that allows us to measure your complete metabolic profile without requiring you to visit our lab. Using sophisticated algorithms, INSCYD analyzes data from a series of specific intervals you perform on your own.

Available for both cycling (with a power meter) and running (with a GPS watch), this testing method provides exceptional accuracy while offering maximum convenience for athletes who can't visit our facility or prefer to test in their natural training environment.​

The test will follow a scientifically validated protocol, typically lasting 20-30 minutes, with incremental increases in intensity.

For lab tests, we provide preliminary results immediately. For all tests (including INSCYD), you'll receive a detailed report within 48 hours.

  • Proper preparation for your testing session at Endurance LAB is crucial to ensure accurate results that can significantly optimize your training regimen. Here’s how you can get ready:

     

    1. Prioritize Rest: Aim to be well-rested before your test. Avoid any strenuous exercise or intense physical activity 24-48 hours prior to your session to ensure that your muscles are in prime condition for testing.

     

    2. Hydration and Nutrition: Stay well-hydrated in the days leading up to your test. On the day of the test, have a light meal or snack 2-3 hours beforehand. Avoid large meals or foods that are high in fat or fiber immediately before your session, as these can affect your performance and your comfort during the test.

     

    3. Clothing: Wear comfortable and breathable athletic wear. Depending on the testing (e.g., VO2max or lactate threshold), you might be on a treadmill or a bike, so ensure your clothing is appropriate and your shoes are suitable for these activities.

     

    4. Medical Considerations: If you have any medical conditions or are on medication, inform our staff ahead of time. This helps us tailor the tests to your specific needs and ensure your safety.

     

    5. Arrive Early: Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork and to allow yourself time to get into the right mindset.

     

    6. Bring Identification: Some tests may require identification, so remember to bring this with you.

  • At Endurance LAB, a typical testing session, whether it’s VO2max, lactate threshold, or metabolic assessment, generally takes about 60 to 90 minutes. Our dedicated and knowledgeable team ensures you get the most accurate results tailored to elevate your endurance training. We begin with a thorough warm-up, followed by the specific test, and conclude with a detailed analysis and personalized feedback to help you optimize your training regimen. Whether you're aiming to boost your VO2max, pinpoint your lactate threshold, or understand your metabolic efficiency, we provide a comprehensive and goal-oriented experience in every session.

  • For INSCYD remote testing at Endurance LAB, you will need a few specific pieces of equipment to ensure accurate assessments. Firstly, a heart rate monitor is essential for tracking your heart rate during the tests. Secondly, an accurate power meter is required if you’re cycling; this will measure your power output and is crucial for obtaining precise data. If you’re running, a GPS-enabled sport watch or a foot pod that can measure speed and distance is necessary. Additionally, you will need a device with internet access, such as a smartphone or computer, to upload your data and communicate with our coaches. By using these tools, Endurance LAB can provide you with detailed VO2max, lactate, and metabolic assessments to optimize your training regimen effectively.
